When a vulnerable child faces a care breakdown, they require a calm, collected professional to step in and act as a stabilizing force. We need workers who look past the behaviour, understand the severe trauma underneath, and provide safe structure to a young person's day.

Randstad Care is actively expanding its candidate bank across Weston super Mare and the wider North Somerset region. You will be delivering specialized person centred interventions to children and young people with complex needs, including autism, PICA, and severe emotional challenges.

This position would perfectly suit individuals who have previously worked as a Residential Care Worker, Support Worker, Youth Worker, Mental Health Assistant, or Family Support Worker.

Nurture Well Being: Promote independent living skills, daily routines, and safe access to community activities.
De escalate Tension: Step into volatile situations and use verbal techniques to successfully manage aggression and self harm calmly.
Safeguard Effectively: Keep precise, compliant records and tracking charts to ensure robust safeguarding standard integration.

What you will bring

Experience: Minimum 6 months of paid care experience within a UK residential or youth setting.
Attributes: Strong emotional intelligence, professional boundaries, and a trauma informed approach to care.
Transport: A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential due to the rural nature of North Somerset packages.
