Role overview

Location: Burton Latimer

Contract: Temporary to permanent

Salary: £13.00 PH

Rota Pattern: Rolling 2 weekly pattern, week 1- Monday, Tuesday, Saturday Sunday,- week 2 Tuesday Wednesday Thursday, all (may vary to meet contractual hours)

Essentials: Driver, must be willing to full engage at al times. Energetic and have good experience with HIGH challenging behaviours

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and development of the Children in our care. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing Personalized Care: Offering individualised care and support to children and young people with learning disabilities, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
Promoting Independence: Encouraging and facilitating the development of life skills and independence among residents.
Creating a Safe Environment: Maintaining a safe and clean-living environment, following all safety protocols and procedures.
Implementing Care Plans: Collaborating with the care team to implement and monitor individual care plans.
Supporting Educational Goals: Assisting young people in accessing educational opportunities and supporting their learning and development.
Building Positive Relationships: Establishing and maintaining positive and respectful relationships with children, their families, and external professionals.
Documentation: Keeping accurate records and recording any incidents, following company policies.
Crisis Intervention: Responding to crisis situations calmly and effectively, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and staff.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience working with children and young people with learning disabilities is preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Compassion, patience, and empathy.
Flexibility in work hours, including evenings and weekends.
