Registered Manager (Ofsted Regulated Service)

We are seeking a Registered Manager to lead a Ofsted regulated service, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery in line with our company ethos. This role focuses on quality, excellent service delivery, business development, and commercial success. The Registered Manager will report directly to the Operations Director and is accountable for maintaining an Ofsted rating of at least 'Good', with the goal of achieving 'Outstanding'.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Safeguarding:
- Comply with Safeguarding Children's procedures, promoting an honest and open culture; act immediately on safeguarding risks.
Health and Safety:
- Adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures, ensuring training and compliance targets are met.
General Management:
- Manage a fully compliant service respecting all relevant legislation and regulations.
- Ensure the financial viability of the service in line with Ofsted requirements.
- Maintain professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all actions.
- Participate in the managers' 'out of hours' on-call rota.
Customer Care and Quality:
- Demonstrate commitment to excellent support and quality.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and company policies at all times.
Leadership and Management:
- Provide leadership and coaching in childcare practice to ensure best outcomes.
- Manage and optimise staff resources to enhance service delivery.
- Maintain effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders.
Business and Commercial Performance:
- Manage financial viability and meet/exceed targets.
- Promote and market the service effectively.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
- Lead a culture of continuous improvement and development.
- Promote a learning organisation culture and commit to skills development.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Must meet the requirements of regulation 28 of the Children's Home (England) Regulations 2015, including integrity, good character, and appropriate experience and qualifications.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in residential childcare within the last 5 years.
- At least one year in a supervisory/management role in a care setting.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards) or equivalent.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent financial acumen and commercial awareness.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication and ICT.
