A caring and supportive residential childcare service in South East England is seeking a reliable and compassionate Wake Night Support Worker to join its dedicated team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting children and young people, working within a friendly team environment and helping to maintain a calm, safe and welcoming home during night-time hours.

The Role:

The Wake Night Support Worker will help ensure the smooth running of the home overnight by:

Carrying out regular well-being checks.
Providing reassurance and support to young people if they wake during the night.
Helping maintain a safe, comfortable and homely environment.
Completing night reports and handovers for the daytime team.
Assisting with light household duties such as laundry and tidying.
Supporting routines and preparations for the following day.
Attending training, team meetings and supervision sessions as required.

The Ideal Candidate:

The successful candidate will be:

Friendly, caring and dependable.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
A confident communicator with good record-keeping skills.
Passionate about supporting children and young people.
Calm, organised and positive in their approach.
Must have a full UK Driving Licence.
Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare, or willingness to work towards one (essential).
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices (essential).
