GP locum Practice Nurse

Practice Nurse (Locum / Temporary)
Location: North Sheilds
Pay Rate: 30.00 - 35.00 per hour - dependant on experience
Job Type: Locum / Temporary
Hours: Full-time or Part-time shifts available

We are currently seeking experienced Locum GP Practice Nurses to join friendly and supportive GP practices in North Shields . This is an excellent opportunity for skilled nurses looking for flexible work within a busy primary care setting.

Primary care experience is essential. Applicants must have recent experience working within a GP practice and be confident managing a range of treatment room duties independently.

Key Responsibilities:

Cervical screening (smears)
Childhood and adult immunisations
Travel vaccinations
Wound care and dressings
Chronic disease management (desirable)
Health promotion and NHS health checks
ECGs, venepuncture and blood pressure monitoring
Infection prevention and control
Accurate clinical record keeping using GP clinical systems

Requirements:

Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration
Recent GP Practice/Primary Care nursing experience (essential)
Competent in treatment room procedures
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Up-to-date mandatory training and immunisation status
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
