Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP)

Our client, Leicester City Council, is seeking a day-time AMHP.

The role will last 3 months initially.

Paid at £40 per hour (umbrella).

Re-warranting is available for the right candidate.

The role will involve the following:

Working as an AMHP with Leicester City's Core AMHP Team,
Day-time role
Taking part in a duty AMHP rota as initial point of contact for people making referrals
Considering MHA requests
Setting up and carrying out MHA assessments in a variety of settings
Completing associated reports and paperwork.
May also be required to write and present tribunal report.
Full time 37 hours per week Monday to Friday
May be working either of the below shifts so ideally need to be flexible based on needs of the service and can work later: 08:30 - 17 00 - 20:00
Working arrangements: hybrid and flexible, they have 1 day per week where everyone is in and this changes between Friday and Monday.
Candidates will do some travelling so need to be a driver.
Would re-warrant a suitable candidate

Requirements of the role:

Qualified Social Worker
Fully Social Work England registered
Must be a qualified AMHP
Must have minimum 1 year experience as an AMHP
