Nurse Care Manager (Commissioning)

Weybridge

Permanent £54000.00 - £60000.00 Annual

Nurse Care Manager (Commissioning)

Location: Weybridge, Surrey

Salary: Up to 60,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm (with flexibility) 1 in 5 Duty Manager Weekend Rota (time off in lieu provided)

Lead the launch of a brand-new nursing service within a luxury care home.

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading luxury care provider seeking an experienced RGN Nurse Care Manager to commission and lead a newly developed nursing service within one of its premium care homes in Weybridge.

This is a rare opportunity to join an established, high-quality home as it expands its clinical offering. You'll play a key role in building the nursing service, supporting residents with increasingly complex needs, and shaping the future of clinical care within the home.

Working alongside an experienced Home Manager and senior leadership team, you'll have genuine autonomy to develop nursing standards, support clinical governance and build a strong team of Registered Nurses.

The Role

As Nurse Care Manager, you'll be responsible for leading all aspects of the home's nursing provision while supporting the successful commissioning of the new nursing service.

Initially, the home supports residents with lower-acuity nursing needs; however, the service will progressively develop to accommodate residents with more complex clinical requirements. You'll therefore play a pivotal role in preparing the service for this transition.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the commissioning and ongoing development of the nursing service.

  • Manage and support the team of Registered Nurses, providing coaching, leadership and clinical guidance.

  • Complete comprehensive clinical assessments and oversee resident admissions.

  • Develop and review person-centred care plans.

  • Oversee medication management and clinical governance.

  • Lead clinical audits, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and best practice.

  • Manage safeguarding concerns, incidents and complaints professionally.

  • Work closely with GPs, healthcare professionals, residents and families.

  • Support and complete Funded Nursing Care (FNC) and Continuing Healthcare (CHC) applications.

  • Drive continuous quality improvement across the nursing service.

About You

To be considered for this opportunity, you'll need to demonstrate strong clinical leadership within a care home environment.

Essential requirements:

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a current NMC Pin.

  • Previous senior clinical experience within a residential or nursing care home.

  • Experience leading and developing clinical teams.

  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations and clinical governance.

  • Experience completing or supporting FNC and/or CHC applications.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Passion for delivering outstanding, person-centred elderly care.

Please note that only candidates with an RGN qualification and active NMC registration can be considered for this position.

What's On Offer

  • Salary up to 60,000 per annum.

  • Monday to Friday working pattern with flexible start and finish times.

  • 1 in 5 Duty Manager rota with time off in lieu.

  • Up to 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays (dependent on length of service).

  • Private medical insurance and company sick pay.

  • Reimbursement of NMC registration fees.

  • Free meals whilst on shift.

  • Blue Light Card discounts, life assurance and workplace pension.

  • Employee Assistance Programme, ongoing training, career development, Cycle to Work scheme, long service awards and Refer-a-Friend bonus scheme.

Why Apply?

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinical leader looking to take ownership of a commissioning project without stepping into a Home Manager position.

You'll join a well-established luxury care home with the opportunity to build a nursing service from the ground up, influence clinical standards, and make a lasting impact on the future of the home. If you enjoy leading teams, improving services and delivering exceptional nursing care, this role offers genuine career development within a highly respected care provider.
