  • Ensure children's care plans are implemented effectively and reviewed regularly.
  • Maintain accurate records and produce high-quality reports.
  • Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections.
  • Drive continuous improvement throughout the service.

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a genuine difference to children's lives.

You will have:

  • Experience working within an Ofsted-regulated children's residential home.
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or substantial experience as a Deputy Manager ready for registration.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or be working towards it where appropriate).
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Excellent knowledge of safeguarding legislation and children's residential regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience managing staff performance and developing teams.
  • Confidence working with external professionals and local authorities.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make informed decisions.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

  • Experience opening a new children's home.
  • Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Successful Ofsted inspection experience.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic care models.
