From in-house learning to clear career pathways, we're here to help you grow as far as your ambition takes you.Role HighlightsJob Title: Children's Residential Care WorkerLocation: Goole (DN14)Salary: £29,232 plus £80 per sleep ins Hours: 40 hours per week including weekends and bank holidaysThe Home: Beautiful 4-bedroom home with 2 established children, soon to be 3!The RoleAs our new Children's Residential Care Worker, you will:

  • Work as part of a team to ensure the children are looked after 24/7, creating a safe, loving, nurturing home.
  • Complete household tasks to ensure the home remains clean and tidy.
  • Get to know the kids - what they like, what they need, and how to support them
  • Provide calm, reassuring care
  • Plan and prepare homecooked meals.
  • Organise activities and events around hobbies, interests to capture imagination and engagement.
  • Follow and update care plans, handover sheets and other relevant documentation
  • Follow our therapeutic model to help them stay calm and feel safe during dysregulated moments
  • Support school attendance and engagement.
  • Be a team player creating a great working environment within the home
  • Prioritise your continual development and be open to learning new things
About You - Does this sound like you?

  • Flexible - You'll work a mixed rota of long days, evenings, sleep-ins, and weekends - we plan ahead but value your support when things change
  • A driver - A full UK licence is essential to use our home's car for school runs and activities
  • Safe to work with children - An enhanced DBS with child barred list check is required - if you don't have one, we will request a new one for you and get your registered on the DBS Update Service.
