At Muve Healthcare, we're committed to providing safe, nurturing, and high-quality care that enables children and young people to thrive. We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Officer to join our growing team and help ensure our children's residential services consistently meet the highest standards of care, safeguarding, governance, and regulatory compliance.

The Role

As our Quality Assurance Officer, you'll work closely with Responsible Individuals, Registered Managers, and operational teams to monitor service quality, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards, legislation, and internal policies.

You'll support our Ofsted-regulated children's homes, helping to drive continuous improvement and achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality assurance audits across our children's homes.
  • Produce clear, accurate audit reports with practical and actionable recommendations.
  • Analyse audit findings, identify trends, and support continuous service improvement.
  • Support Registered Managers in developing and implementing quality improvement plans.
  • Monitor compliance with Ofsted regulations, the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, the Guide to the Children's Homes Regulations including the Quality Standards, safeguarding legislation, company policies, and best practice.
  • Prepare homes for Ofsted inspections and support the implementation of post-inspection action plans.
  • Monitor compliance with internal quality standards, safeguarding procedures, and children's care planning.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and excellence across the organisation.
  • Work collaboratively with operational teams to improve outcomes for children and young people.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in quality assurance, auditing, or compliance within children's residential care, social care, or a related sector.
  • A strong understanding of Ofsted's regulatory framework for children's homes, including the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards.
  • Experience supporting children's homes through Ofsted inspections and implementing quality improvement initiatives.
  • A sound understanding of safeguarding, child-centred practice, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent report writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • The confidence to professionally challenge and support Registered Managers using evidence-based recommendations.
  • Outstanding communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for improving the quality of care and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
