Our client is seeking dedicated Children's Residential Support Worker to join their growing team and help create a safe, supportive, and nurturing home for children and young people aged 7 17 with learning disabilities and additional needs.

The Role

As a Children's Residential Support Worker, no two days are the same. You will play a key role in helping children feel safe, valued, and supported within a family-style environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building strong, trusting relationships with children and young people
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing and encouraging positive daily challenges
  • Helping children develop independence and essential life skills
  • Supporting educational and learning goals
  • Planning activities and community-based experiences
  • Delivering engaging and meaningful key work sessions
  • Using positive behaviour support approaches
  • Supporting children with routines, communication, and personal care where required
  • Working alongside schools, families, and external professionals
  • Creating a safe, welcoming, and nurturing home environment
  • Acting as a positive role model every day

Whether it's helping a young person achieve a personal milestone, supporting a day out, teaching life skills, or simply being a consistent and trusted adult, your contribution will make a real difference.

Requirements

Desirable:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards)
  • Previous experience supporting children and young people
  • Full UK Driving Licence (or working towards obtaining one)

Essential:

  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
  • Willingness to undertake training and professional development
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships
