Apply Now

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and values-driven Registered Manager to join a highly respected therapeutic children's care provider. This unique role offers responsibility across two children's homes, providing the chance to lead services that are genuinely focused on healing, recovery, and achieving life-changing outcomes for children who have experienced trauma.

What's On Offer?

  • Salary circa 65,000 per annum
  • 33 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays
  • Ethical workplace pension scheme
  • Blue Light Card discounts
  • Comprehensive wellbeing package including Employee Assistance Programme, online GP access, counselling support, health benefits and retail discounts
  • Bespoke reward and recognition programme following successful completion of probationary period
  • Home-cooked meals, endless tea, fresh fruit, and a genuinely supportive team culture

This organisation has built a strong reputation for creating nurturing, relationship-led environments where children are supported to feel safe, valued, and empowered. Their approach is rooted in therapeutic practice, compassion, and a belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive.

As Registered Manager, you will provide strategic leadership across the homes, ensuring outstanding care, regulatory compliance, and the continued development of a highly skilled and dedicated staff team.

The Role

As the Registered Manager, you will:

  • Hold overall responsibility for the effective operation of two children's homes
  • Ensure full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
  • Lead and embed a therapeutic, trauma-informed culture throughout the services
  • Oversee safeguarding practice, notifications, investigations, and escalations
  • Manage, support, supervise, and develop staff teams to the highest standards
  • Lead on quality assurance, audits, and continuous service improvement
  • Oversee care planning, ensuring children's voices remain central to all decisions
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring sustainability and value for money
  • Develop strong relationships with local authorities, families, education providers, and partner agencies
  • Drive positive outcomes for children across education, wellbeing, independence, and emotional development
  • Ensure services remain inspection-ready and strive towards Good and Outstanding Ofsted outcomes

About You

To be considered, you will ideally have:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (or equivalent)
  • A relevant degree-level qualification
  • Minimum two years' experience within children's residential care
  • At least one year's experience in a leadership or management position
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and children's residential legislation
  • Experience managing budgets, quality assurance processes, and service development
  • A genuine passion for therapeutic and trauma-informed care
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • A creative, resilient, and child-centred approach to leadership
  • Full UK Driving Licence and Enhanced DBS clearance

Experience of attachment-based or therapeutic approaches would be highly advantageous.

This is an opportunity to join a provider where relationships, compassion, and positive outcomes sit firmly at the heart of everything they do. If you're an experienced Registered Manager who believes children deserve more than care alone and wants to help create homes where they can truly heal, grow, and thrive we'd love to hear from you.

At RJS Resourcing, we partner with values-driven organisations across the UK and work on a continuous stream of exciting opportunities within the children's residential care sector. If this role isn't quite right but you're considering your next move, we'd still love to hear from you to discuss our wider portfolio of vacancies. INDP
