Key Responsibilities
  • Review, analyse and reconcile information received from families, educational settings, health professionals, social care practitioners and other stakeholders.
  • Address discrepancies and inconsistencies within assessment reports and supporting documentation to ensure clarity, accuracy and coherence.
  • Manage an allocated caseload of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Draft high-quality EHCPs that clearly identify a child or young person's needs, desired outcomes, and the provision required to meet those needs.
  • Ensure all EHCPs comply with statutory guidance, the SEND Code of Practice, and local authority procedures.
  • Undertake annual reviews, amendments and cessations of EHCPs in a timely manner.
  • Ensure plans remain up to date, relevant, and responsive to the changing needs and circumstances of children and young people.
  • Prepare detailed reports, case summaries and recommendations to support decision-making panels, tribunals and service planning activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and case management information in line with service standards and data protection requirements.
  • Build effective working relationships with families, schools, educational providers, health professionals and social care teams.
  • Support the delivery of statutory SEND duties and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
Essential Requirements
  • Experience of working within SEND services, EHCP coordination, SEND casework, education, social care, or a related field.
  • Good understanding of the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Experience drafting, reviewing or coordinating Education, Health and Care Plans.
  • Ability to analyse complex information from multiple sources and produce clear, accurate documentation.
  • Excellent report-writing and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and statutory deadlines.
  • Experience working collaboratively with families and multi-agency professionals.
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
Desirable Requirements
  • Previous Local Authority SEND experience.

  • Complete income and expenditure assessments with tenants to help ensure they receive all benefits and support they are entitled to.

  • Investigate and process tenancy management requests including transfers, mutual exchanges and succession cases in line with legislation and policy.
  • Investigate breaches of tenancy conditions and take appropriate action, including legal action where necessary.
  • Manage cases involving anti-social behaviour, neighbour nuisance and tenancy-related disputes, working in partnership with agencies such as the police and social services.
  • Prepare case files, witness statements and evidence bundles to support enforcement and court action where required.
  • Promote tenant participation, engagement and equality of opportunity across the service.
  • Work with residents and partner agencies to develop and maintain community agreements.
  • Undertake estate inspections and health and safety checks, ensuring housing stock and communal areas are managed effectively and issues are addressed promptly.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

  • A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a customer-focused environment.

In this role, you will visit client sites to conduct drug and alcohol testing on employees, supporting workplace safety and compliance. No two days are the same, making this a varied and engaging opportunity for someone who enjoys independent, people-facing work.

You must provide three days per week that you are available to be on call as well as two weekends in a month. You will then be allocated to 1 day per week and 1 weekend in a month to be on standby. The weekly standby you will do will run from 6pm-6pm and the weekend standby you cover will be Friday 6pm Monday 6pm. On the days you are on standby, you may not have any call outs or prebooked visits. On these occasions you would be paid a standby rate of £22 for the full day, you could be called out anytime including late at night. You will work for your team s region, but you must be prepared to travel up to 50 miles.
