Children Social Worker ( Guernsey)

We are seeking qualified social workers to a children service and teams in Guernsey in particular, social workers with strong backgrounds in safeguarding.

Overview:

Assessing the need for care and protection of individuals or families
Ensuring that individuals or families receive the necessary support and protection
Assisting in the implementation of policies that aim to safeguard the vulnerable and uplift communities
Making recommendations or referrals to other services or agencies
Minimum of one-year post qualifying experience in child protection work in the UK.
Knowledge and understanding of theory and legislation that affects children and families and a good knowledge of childcare practice, particularly in relation to child protection and looked after children
Experience of undertaking joint investigations and a variety of needs and risk assessments that are evidence and theory based.
Ability to use information technology effectively and efficiently.
clean and current driving licence.
