You will hold a qualification in Social Work
You will have completed your assisted year of learning - ASYE
You will have excellent communication skills when working in complex situations with vulnerable people
You will have an excellent ability to assess needs and situations
You will be up to date with current legislation and the current complex climate.

As a Social Worker in Families First team you will:-

Have a Statutory Responsibility and Manage children under Child Protection Plans, Looked After Children (in care), and Children in Need.
Handle a varied, highly complex, and challenging caseload requiring original thinking and tailored solutions.
Conduct complex assessments of need and risk to devise outcome-focused support plans.
Identify, source, and regularly review services to ensure they meet the eligible needs of vulnerable families.
Participate in the local authority duty system and conduct child protection investigations under appropriate supervision.
Attend strategy meetings, legal proceedings, and Child Protection conferences.
Write court reports, statutory reviews, and detailed child protection reports.
Lead the safeguarding response with managerial oversight during conferences and reviews.

Requirements of you as the Social Worker:

Social Work England registration
A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
A full UK driving licence
DBS clearance
Authority to work in the UK
