Shire Healthcare are working in partnership with a specialist children's care provider to recruit Residential Children's Workers for a two-bed children's home in Leigh.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established service supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Disabilities (LD). You will play a key role in helping to create a safe, nurturing and therapeutic home environment where young people can thrive.

Total yearly earnings of 33,750 to 37,100 (including sleeps)

As a Residential Children's Worker, you will:

Provide high-quality care and support to young people within the home
Build positive and trusting relationships with children and young people
Promote emotional wellbeing, independence and personal development
Support young people with daily routines, education and recreational activities
Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning
Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals
Safeguard and promote the welfare of children at all times

Essential Requirements

Right to Work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare, Children & Young People's Workforce or equivalent
Previous experience supporting young people within a residential childcare or care setting
Enhanced DBS and satisfactory references
