Independent Practice Battersea
3 Days per Week (Open to 5 days for the right candidate)
£55-70k pro rata - depending on experience.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and clinically focused Optometrist to join a well-established independent practice in Battersea. This optometrist-led practice is known for its patient-focused approach, longer testing times, and investment in advanced clinical equipment.
This role is ideal for an Optometrist who enjoys delivering high-quality clinical care, making strong patient recommendations, and working as part of a supportive team.
The Role
" Position: Optometrist
" Location: Battersea, London
" Working Days: 3 days per week
o Thursday
o Saturday (required)
o Monday or Friday
" Hours: 08:50 - 18:00
" Lunch Break: 1 hour
" Testing Time: 45 minutes
" Contact Lens Appointments: 45 minutes
You will typically see 8-9 patients per day, allowing plenty of time to provide thorough, patient-centred eye care.
Pre-screening is completed by the team, enabling you to focus on clinical examination and patient management.

Key Responsibilities
" Conduct comprehensive eye examinations with a strong clinical focus
" Provide clear and confident recommendations to patients
" Manage contact lens fittings and aftercare appointments
" Support myopia management services
" Interpret OCT and Optomap imaging
" Participate in commercial conversations where appropriate
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be:
" Minimum 3 years qualified
" Passionate about clinical excellence and patient care
" Confident providing clear recommendations and treatment plans
" Experienced with contact lenses
" Interested in myopia management
" Comfortable working within a small, close-knit team
" Experience interpreting OCT and Optomap results would be beneficial.
Salary & Benefits
" 55,000 - 70,000 pro rata (depending on experience)
