Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Domiciliary Optometrist to provide high-quality eye care directly to patients in their own homes. This role is ideal for a compassionate, independent clinician who enjoys making a real difference to patients who cannot easily access traditional practice settings. You'll combine clinical expertise with personalised care, helping patients maintain their independence and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive eye examinations in patients' homes
Assess, monitor, and manage ocular health using portable diagnostic equipment
Provide clear advice, recommendations, and follow-up plans tailored to each patient
Support patients with basic daily tasks where needed, contributing to overall wellbeing
Maintain accurate and compliant patient records
Ensure high standards of care while working independently in the community
Team Development:
Work collaboratively with a supportive regional team
Share knowledge and best practices to enhance patient care
Contribute to a culture of professional excellence and patient-first service
About You:
GOC-registered Optometrist
Passionate about patient care and community outreach
Independent, proactive, and adaptable
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable delivering care in non-clinical settings
Motivated to grow professionally and develop specialist domiciliary skills
