Salary £28,000 to £35,000 DOE and qualification
An established independent Opticians in Ponteland is looking to recruit an Optical Practice Manager to lead the team and oversee the day to day running of the practice.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Dispensing Optician or experienced Optical Manager who enjoys leading from the front and driving both service and performance.
The Role
As Optical Practice Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the smooth operation of the practice, ensuring high clinical standards, excellent customer care and strong commercial results.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, motivating and developing the practice team
- Managing staff rotas and daily workflow
- Supporting training and performance management
- Delivering an exceptional patient journey
- Handling patient queries and resolving concerns professionally
- Monitoring sales performance and identifying growth opportunities
- Managing frame and lens stock
- Ensuring compliance with NHS and industry regulations
- Supporting local marketing and in practice promotions
The Practice
- Well established independent Opticians
- Strong reputation within the local community
- Supportive Senior Leadership Team
- Open Tuesday to Saturday
- 4 or 5 days per week, with Saturdays required
Requirements
- Qualified Dispensing Optician or experienced Optical Manager
- Previous management or supervisory experience
- Confident leading a team and driving performance
- Commercially aware and customer focused
- Organised with excellent communication skills
